About Koto.

Koto Designs is a Perth-based interior design studio focused on creating calm, resolved interiors through thoughtful spatial planning, material selection, and design strategy.

The studio works across residential renovations, new builds, and small commercial spaces, designing interiors that function well, age well, and feel considered in everyday life.

A structured and considered design process.

At Koto Designs I understand that every home, every family, every project is unique and I pride ourselves on listening to your needs and wants to achieve your design vision, from concept through to completion.

Each project is approached with a clear understanding of how the space needs to function, forming the foundation for all design decisions.

From concept through to detailed documentation, the process is designed to ensure clarity, alignment, and a well-resolved outcome.

Koto Designs is led by Emma.

An interior designer based in Perth.

With a background in fine arts and formal training in interior design, Emma approaches each project with a strong focus on spatial planning, material selection, and how interiors function in everyday life.

The studio was founded with the intention of creating interiors that feel calm, resolved, and considered,Not just visually, but in how they are lived in over time.

A considered approach to design.

Koto Designs approaches interiors as lived environments first and visual compositions second.

Design decisions are shaped by:

• how people move through a space

• how rooms connect

• how materials wear over time

• how light changes throughout the day

• how storage, acoustics, and layout support daily routines

The result is interiors that feel calm, resolved, and effortless; Not through decoration, but through thoughtful design.
